7. Easter Island, Chile.
Do you know what is a Moai?. Have you seen the movie Night At The Museum? The movie that shows many historical figures came to life at night, and one of them is a big head statue that likes to chew a bubblegum. Remember that?. Yes, a Moai is a statue of a giant head that are carved from stone and there are a lot of them in the Easter Island.


Easter Island is situated in Chile. Easter Island is a Polynesian Island in the southeastern pacific ocean. Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapanui people ( the natives of the island).It is being declared as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO.


This island is a volcanic high island with three inactive volcanoes. The climate over there are mainly subtropical maritime (hot at summer and mild in winters). The history of Easter Island is rich and controversial. Its inhabitants have endured famines, epidemics, civil war, slave raids, colonialism, and near deforestation; its population declined precipitously more than once.


Besides the moai statue, Easter Island have a beautiful beach view and a marvellous archeological site like the cave paintings and the stone walls. The beautiful paintings of the past primitive tribe are also one of t he attractions of Easter Island.


Easter Island is a place where you can find comfort and relaxation besides of its rich history and culture. This is a place that are preferable to people who appreciate historical arts and at the same time for finding peace and relaxation.
