15. Universal Studios Singapore

Okay, this will be the first choice of my selection of the 15 places that are considered the best in the world to me. I pick Universal Studios as the first one because Singapore is near my country which is Malaysia. It took almost three hours from Johor Baharu to arrive to Singapore (because of the jam and of course, security check). I meet my friend who happened to work there and he took me to Universal Studios of Singapore.

Universal Studios Singapore is a theme park located within Resort World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It is the second theme park open in Asia after Japan and the first in southeast Asia. Opened in public at 20 October 2009, it has become one of the kind theme park in Asia.

I went there with my friends at about 10.03am. The place was already packed with people although I went there not on holiday time. It was understandable because it is the only place in southeast Asia many that came here are foreign tourist.

Universal Studios are the theme park that focuses on movies and animations since we know that the name was also a movie studio company. There are many movie theme park such as Far Far Away from the movie Shrek and Madagascar from the animation of the same name.

There are also various theme park ride such as Transformers The Ride, Battlestar Galactica, and Revenge of the Mummy Ride in the Ancient Egypt area. Besides that, there are also themed zone that are based on places in the Unites States. We have the Hollywood that wa created like the original place itself and we have the New York city that was created like it was the time of the post modernization of the city .

The sci-fi city was created based on the famous television sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica. There are many fun rides available here such as the Accelerator, Battkestar Galactica Human, Battlestar Galactica Cylon and Thransformers The Ride. Besides that, there are also retail outlet available that focus on the sci-fi theme.

Besides that, there are also themed zone called the Lost World that were based on the Jurassic Park movies series. There are many fascinating ride in here where they are focus on the water ride. Besides the ride, there are also retail outlet that sell many of The Lost World merchandise.

The Ancient Egypt was created based on the Ancient place itself and it also put some elements from the famous movie The Mummy trilogy. There are roller coaster ride that are called the Revenge of the Mummy and a vintage car ride that are called Treasure Hunter.I manage to get a ride on the Revenge on the Mummy. It was pretty scary and at the same time exciting. There are also restaurant that are focus on the Middle East cuisine inside the themed zone.

I went back home almost 10 at night and decided to stay at my friend’s home because of exhaustion. I really want to come here again as there are so many places in the Universal Studios Singapore that I haven’t try or visited yet.
